Getting Started

Before our first expedition to Palau in 2012 I was asked if we were going to write a blog to keep people informed.  I had never though about writing a blog before.  That year we decided to use Facebook as a way to keep people informed.  It worked to some extent and we have stuck with it.  Facebook provided a quick easy way to show people what was happening in the classroom and while we were in Palau.

Last year we added a twitter feed and started working on a website separate from my school website.

During the 2012-2013 school year I started experimenting with blogs as part of the class and part of my own school work as a graduate student at Michigan State University.  So, I guess I've put it off long enough and now is the time to get started.  Through this blog I hope to be able to share more details about what it is like to be involved in the Stockbridge Advanced Underwater Robotics Team.

Before school starts in September I will do my best to bring you up to date on where we are now and how we got to this point.  The good thing is that we have kept a record of our experiences over the past two years both on the web on our Facebook page and copies of all of our written correspondence, newspaper articles as well as an audio and video record of our work and media appearances.
