Jellyfish Lake Tour 4/4/14

Today was our second and last tour day. We all met at Neco Marina at 8:00am to start our tour. Our first stop was the MIlky Way. This spot is known for its mud about ten feet down, this mud is supposed to be skin "rejuvenating ". So like any good tourist we all grabbed some mud and put it all over our self's, then jumped in the water to clean it all off. The next stop was Clam City, here the clams ranged from 3 inches to 6 feet and from purple to orange. Along with the clams there were angel fish and tons of coral.

Jellyfish lake was our next stop. This lake has tons of non- stinging jellyfish. These jellyfish don't sting for two reasons, one they have no predators and two the don't predate anything. In the lake the jellyfish move with the sun, today they were out in the middle so we had to swim out to see them. The jellyfish can range from half the size of a penny to the size of a soccer ball. We were able to spend around an hour swimming with the jellyfish then we returned to the boat. The driver next took us to a beautiful beach to eat lunch and have a little down time.

Our last stop was cemtenary reef. This reef is known for its coral and abundance of different fish. The team snorkeled here for around a half hour then climbed back onto the boat. The boat captain took us through the rock islands and showed us some caves then took us back to the dock. At that time it was around 3:00pm and it gave us girls just enough time to get ready to be presentable for GoPro, they wanted to interview us at 5:30 at Sam's Tours. Once everyone was ready we headed down to Sam's. At Sam's we ate and waited for Rick from GoPro, who was on the boat that day with BentProp. While the team was waiting we put on our GoPro t-shirts and took team team photos in front of the beautiful sunset. We waited for Rick until it got dark, but he never came. Once we had the all clear from Mr. Richards to leave we all walked back to the hotel and got ready for bed then went to bed.
