Weather was not on our side today. We briefed at 7:00 am and decided that we would wait out the weather till noon then re- evaluate. Till noon the team had a list of marketing, engineering and administrative work to do. The engineering team had to go over to Scripp's for help on a non-responsive ESC, and the marketing team had SD cards to clear and post cards to write. At noon the team met up at Palm Bay Bistro for lunch, and to come up with a plan of attack for the rest of the day. Going out on the boat wasn't an option because of a red flag warning and the risk of ruining equipment, so we decided to scrub the boat day and continue to work on our other tasks. Also at lunch we were able to sit and talk with a few of the BentProper's, Flip, Casey and Derek. At lunch we were able to hear their many stories about the crazy things that happen to them, my personal favorite, Flip's sunglasses story.
After lunch the team dispersed and went to work on their separate things. A few members had to do a ATM and Bem Ermii run, while others stayed back and caught up on work or sleep. Today gave the team a good day to rest and stay out of the sun. Though we weren't able to get out on the boat it was a good day. Mr. Richards and BentProp have kept us up to date on the weather, they say the storm is weakening and splitting up, so it may be an option for us to go out on the boat tomorrow afternoon.
