Post Palau Update

Our team has been home for about a month now, but we still like to think that we are tired because of "jet lag". This last month we have worked on trying to organize our pictures, videos and priorities.

In Palau we take a million pictures and videos and when we get home we are faced with the task of sorting through them. Maddy took on the task of the GoPro video footage. She and Rick, who was from GoPro, were able to sit down and talk in Palau which gave her more of an understanding the cameras. Since Palau, Maddy has been working with Rick through email to create a series of videos that highlighted our dives and the GoPro cameras.
She has finished one about our dive on the Japanese Zero, so make sure to check it out!

The rest of the Marketing has sorted and posted MOST of the photos that were taken in Palau, but they are still discovering new ones almost weekly. Along with photo sorting they have also sent thank you letters, attended the Michigan Creativity Summit and tried to help the Competition team prepare for their competition next week in Alpena.

Our engineering team is still trying to fix the broken thruster on the ROV, while at the same time help the Heritage Academy with their many projects. A few members also competed in the Square One Education Network Innovative Vehicle Design Competition, where they made an autonoumous jeep to compete in a obstacle course and other challenges.

Our next priority is the MATE Competition in Alpena. Both of our competition teams are preparing their posters and robots for the competition on the 17th. While at the competition the Palau Marketing Team will be keeping both our page and the MATE page up to date.
